I do prefer to keep it simple after all and wanted my website to be static again. Yes there is already a countless number of static page generators in the wild, but I felt writing my own would be a nice side project. Not to mention I prefer programming stuff myself over reading third party documentations and how tos. zArchitect does just what I need it to and nothing more and is what currently builds this page that you are reading.
There isn't much to be said about the development process of this program. As I went I had to write more code than I was expecting and thus had to refactor parts of it after a while, but there were no issues that caused problems or anything particularly noteworthy. There probably won't be any updates necessary anytime soon. It's still missing a proper example to demonstrate how it can be used, but that's work for some other time.
